The Perfect Solution for Promoting Bulk Solids Flow

The frustrating and dangerous problem of load hang-up is a safety and time issue for tipper operators with the potential to create serious and dangerous workplace incidents. Many types of tipper loads tend to cling to tub floors and sides when the hoist is fully extended which can create potential for the entire unit to fall onto its side. While that result is certainly an unfortunate worst case, most tipper operators have spent many an hour shovelling out hung loads and cleaning residues from tubs after discharge.

QuicksilverŽ is a continuous length, seamless liner made from a high tech Ultra High Molecular Weight (UHMW) polymer compound. This ultra slippery surface promotes mass flow and complete load release from the tipper at a lower angle of discharge. This in turn prolongs hoist life as well as considerable time savings, particularly when changing from one type of load to another due to the elimination of the need to wash out the body.

Additionally, the liner protects the tub floor and the super slick, tough surface out-performs both steel (by a ratio of 2:1) and aluminium (by a ratio of 4:1) in terms of field wear. This makes the QuicksilverŽ Liner the perfect alternative to replacing worn tipper floors. In most applications, a QuicksilverŽ Liner will see out the life of the body. In situations where re-sale is contemplated, sale price is enhanced through a floor that is just as it was when the liner was installed, Proven over many years in North America (where over 28,000 liners have been installed), QuicksilverŽ is perfect for gravel, clay, sand, soil, scrap metal, aggregate etc and can also withstand hot asphalt (up to 176 degrees C) where it provides insulation properties as well.

Installation

QuicksilverŽ liners are simply installed. They are cut to size, scored to accommodate the tub radius and then bolted into the floor. Special leading edge protectors are then fixed to the tub walls and the job is complete. The compound is 1/3rd the weight of aluminium, 1/8th of the weight of steel and carries a 3 year manufacturers warranty.

The liner is available from most tipper manufacturers (for new equipment) and is retrofitted to existing equipment by Re-Car workshops at each of their five facilities; Townsville, Brisbane, Newcastle, Wagga and Melbourne.
